![]() ![]() Then you get the occasions where you can perma-track an enemy round a corner, something that can't be done with the 105mm nearly as often. ![]() In a long range fight, the loss in DPM is noticable, in a corner fight, you give the enemy more time to come round and shoot you without being able to counter, and when shooting targets moving between different points of cover, there are a good number of positions where the 88 can shoot twice (and do more damage in total) because the 105 can't reload in time. Yes alpha is a nice thing to have, but (for me) the increase in alpha is not enough to make up for the increased reload time. The pen of the 88mm is higher than on the top gun of the T32, and is more accurate, so if that tank is valid, so is the Tiger II with the 88mm. ![]() The pen on both of the guns is still low enough that you will have to aim for weakspots for higher tier tanks. With both guns, the pen is high enough that you will pen sides, rears and weakspots and lower tier tanks without problems. I did 15-20% better (average damage, XP and win-rate) with the 88mm.ĭPM difference is substantial - more than 25% lower with the 105mm I wasn't sure, so I recorded my results for 20 games for each gun. The fact it is historical is by-the-by - though it is nice. It is down to personal preference, but I always prefered the 88. ![]() The short 105mm doesn't have better aim-time - it does on the Jganther, which makes it an epic gun. ![]()

Or should I cower in fear, keep away, and concede defeat in case any of them ever invade me? So: What can I do? I have no cavalry, only crappy light infantry and archers. And I am deathly afraid of facing them in battle. (They hold 1/2 of actual Hungary, and 1/2 of their original lands at the TOG start. The nomad host made up for its losses in that battle with a shockingly fast That battle left me with a lasting apprehension of nomads. That went shockingly bad - I lost my whole realm's levy (then around 4500 men) in one single battle with no survivors. I had my first run-in with a nomad in a small war where I tried to keep a nomad adventurer out of one of my tributaries. There are now scary nomads all around me.
